Williamstown North factory fire

MFB crews remain in Williamstown North, where a fire broke out overnight at a plastics storage facility.

Firefighters were called to the Macaulay Street premises just before 2am after Triple Zero (000) callers raised the alarm.

Firefighters forced entry to the premises and surrounding yardand used an aerial appliance to attack the fire from above.

The fire was brought under control within 40 minutes however crews remain on scene to ensure that the fire is fully extinguished.

MFB Fire Investigators and Victoria Police are investigating the cause of the blaze.
