Urban Search and Rescue called after truck crashes through Bundoora home

MFB’s specialist Urban Search and Rescue firefighters are working to shore up a a structure after a truck crashed through the corner of a house in Bundoora this evening.

Firefighters were called to the incident on Edmund Rice Parade just before 7pm and had the incident under control in a little over ten minutes after their arrival.

Thankfully the driver of the truck managed to evacuate the vehicle, and the home’s occupant did not sustain any injuries.

The truck has been removed from the home, and MFB is working to ensure the structure is not compromised.

Approximately 14 firefighters on board two pumpers, a rescue unit, and one aerial unit responded to this incident.  

Crews are expected to remain on scene for some time.
