Unattended radiator sparks Reservoir house fire

back to list
02 Aug 2017
MFB firefighters have prevented a fire at a Reservoir home spreading to a neighbouring property.

Crews responding to the blaze on Ramleh Road just before 3pm called on extra appliances because of the amount of smoke visible on route.

Firefighters aggressively attacked the fire from both the back and front of the property but the house was extensively damaged.

No one was at home at the time and at this stage it’s believed an electric radiator left on may have started the fire.

It comes as a timely reminder to make sure that electrical appliances are turned off when not attended.
