Two people were evacuated following a fire in Brighton early this morning.

MFB received several calls through Triple Zero (000) alerting them to the blaze at Cochrane Street about 1.30am.
Responding crews saw smoke billowing from the property.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus attacked the fire from inside, managing to stop it from spreading to nearby homes.
The two occupants of the house were treated at the scene by paramedics.
Luckily, they had working smoke alarms which helped alert them to the danger.
MFB fire investigators will determine the cause of the incident.
