It’s important to have access to more than one source of fire information. Tune in to ABC local radio, commercial and designated community radio stations or Sky News TV, phone the Victorian Bushfire Information Line on 1800 240 667, visit, download the FireReady App and use through CFA’s Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Don’t wait for a warning to be sent to your phone, it’s your responsibility to know when to leave and where to go, so stay aware of your surroundings, and seek out information about weather and fire risk.

Check for information on fires near you. Only call 000 if you can see flames, or a solid single column of smoke.
