Taylor Lakes garage fire contained

MFB crews quickly contained a fire that started in a garage preventing it from damaging neighbouring homes.

A number of callers reported smoke issuing from Mara Crt at 2:38am where the garage was attached to a double storey house. 

First arriving crews were met with smoke and flames issuing from the garage and requested additional resources.

Approximately 30 firefighters managed to bring the fire under control within 20 minutes.

Thankfully no injuries were reported.  Two individuals also self evacuated prior to MFB’s arrival. 

The cause has not been determined and Victoria Police are investigating.
