Suspicious unit fire in Clayton

MFB firefighters battled a suspicious fire in Clayton last night.

Crews were called to a unit on Tennyson Avenue about 9.30pm following multiple Triple Zero (000) calls.

Firefighters responded promptly and ensured the six occupants were all accounted for.

They managed to get the blaze under control in less than 20 minutes.

The fire is being treated as suspicious and Victoria Police will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
