23 Dec 2019
A house in Sunshine North has been destroyed after a fire ripped through the property overnight.

MFB firefighters were called to the property on Duke Street at 3:34am after a caller spotted flames coming from the single storey residence.

The house was fully alight when the first crew arrived and they requested for additional resources.

Due to the roof collapsing and the instability of the house crews attacked the blaze externally with the help of a teleboom.

More than 25 firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze and the incident was declared under control after 30 minutes

The fire has been deemed suspicious and Victoria Police will investigate.
