Suspicious house fire at abandoned Brooklyn house

MFB firefighters have made quick work of a fire which ripped through an abandoned house in Brooklyn this afternoon.

Crews arrived within six minutes to find the derelict weatherboard house in flames and quickly conducted a search of the building to confirm there was no one inside.

Thanks to the quick work of firefighters, the fire was brought under control within 14 minutes.

At this stage, incident is being treated as suspicious and Victoria Police will investigate.
