Suspected gas leak at supermarket distribution centre

Crews were called to the Coles distribution centre on Distribution Drive at 12:42pm this afternoon.

Firefighters are currently on scene attending to a suspected ammonia gas leak.

Specialist HAZMAT appliances and technical crews in Breathing Apparatus are working to identify the source of the gas leak.

Firefighters in protective gear will attempt to isolate the leak.

Staff on site have been evacuated.

MFB's Scientific Advisor is also in attendance.
