Flames could be seen from the freeway as a Sunshine home was engulfed by fire on Saturday.

MFB fire crews received the call to the Ridgeway Parade home at 1.35am.

They quickly escalated the response to the fire call when flames were visible to them whilst drivng along the freeway.

Once on scene they found the single storey, brick house fully involved in fire.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, conducted a primary search of the premises and could find no-one inside.

The roof structure has fallen in large sections and a Building Surveyor will be required to attend in the morning.

The house has been severely damaged by fire throughout.

The cause is unknown and MFB specialist Fire Investigators attended the following morning.
