14 Dec 2015
A bungalow fire in Westmeadows sent smoke billowing into neighbouring communities this afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the Duncan Court property just before 2pm.

On arrival they found fire engulfing a two-storey brick and weatherboard bungalow, measuring 15 by 15 metres. Firefighters battled to protect neighbouring properties from the blaze.

It took crews approximately 10 minutes to deem the fire under control.

As a precaution a Community Warning was issued for homes located north of the fire, however the smoke posed no threat to residents.

Victoria Police will attend the scene.

Two fire trucks attended the incident.
