Service station fire in Glen Waverley

Quick-acting firefighters managed to avert what could have been a serious incident in Glen Waverley this morning.

Crews were called to a service station on Springvale Road just after 10am following reports of a car fire.

Firefighters arrived within five minutes to find a car and LPG bowser on fire.

The service station attendant isolated the bowser while crews worked quickly to get the fire extinguished.
