Wheat Filled Heat Packs

Wheat filled Heat Packs can help pain, but they can also be dangerous.

Look for wheat filled heat packs that are supplied with instructions. Follow the instructions on the pack carefully. When heating a wheat filled heat pack in a microwave, always place a glass of water next to it. This will ensure it doesn’t dry out and overheat. Only fill glass up to 3/4 full. Exercise care when handling the glass of water as it may be hot.

A wheat filled heat pack should be cooled down on a non-combustible surface before storing. Wheat filled heat packs can ignite, and are not designed to replace hot water bottles for warming beds.
