Firefighters, police, and paramedics have responded to a plane which came down on a golf course in Heatherton following an emergency call from the Moorabbin Airport.

An aircraft with two people on board landed on the fairway near Centre Dandenong Road just after 3pm.

Miraculously the two occupants walked away from the incident and were checked at the scene by Ambulance Victoria paramedics.

The incident was declared under control within half an hour – the plane did not catch fire on impact and no fuel leaked.

More than 10 MFB firefighters attended alongside CFA, Ambulance Victoria, and Victoria Police.

At this stage it’s not known what caused the plane to land on the fairway.
