Paper and cardboard fire in Campbellfield

MFB crews are responding to a fire in the rear yard of a factory in Campbellfield.

Firefighters received a call to the site at Reo Crescent at 11:34am. Initial crews arrived on scene in four minutes to a 20x50 meter pile of paper and cardboard fully alight.

More than 20 firefighters are battling the blaze and are using heavy machinery to gain access to the seat of the fire. 

The fire was deemed under control at 12:27pm and crews are expected to be on scene for some time.

CFA crews are also on scene assisting with firefighting efforts.
