Mother and children flee Sunshine West house fire

Firefighters battled a blaze in Sunshine West on Saturday 25 July.

Firefighters were called to the home on Frank St in Sunshine West about 9.42am after several neighborus called 000 to report the house fire.

Crews proceeding saw smoke and upgraded the response. 

When they arrived they found the single storey house well alight. The family met them out the front and MFB Firefighters donned Breathing Apparatus and attacked the fire.

There is no estimate of damage at this stage but the building is severely damaged.

Ambulance Victoria treated the mother who fainted at the scene, and her three children were also being checked for signs of smoke inhalation.

The fire was brought Under Control in 18 minutes and at this stage there is no indication of the cause.
