Moonee Ponds house fire under control

MFB firefighters have made quick work of a house fire which was threatening other homes in Moonee Ponds this evening.

Crews were called to the address in James Street just before 5.30pm following a number of Triple Zero (000) calls including one from the occupant of the house.

The arrived to find a large house fire which was threatening to spread to an adjoining home.

Firefighters attacked the fire internally and externally and managed to protect neighbouring properties.

The blaze was deemed under control within 45 minutes.

The house has been severely damaged as a result of the incident.

Luckily, the occupant got out safely.
