Three people evacuate Parkdale house fire

Firefighters were called to a house fire in Princes Court, Parkdale just after 1am this morning.

Crews were on scene within four minutes of the time of call. 

On arrival firefighters found that three people had evacuated to the front of the double story brick townhouse. 

Once all occupants were accounted for, firefighters in breathing apparatus conducted an aggressive attack on the roof fire. 

The fire was contained within 9 minutes. 

The building has sustained significant structural damaged and crews remained at the property for a number of hours mopping up and making sure the scene was safe.
