Glenroy house fire under control quickly

Approximately 30 firefighters were called to a house fire in Glenroy late on Monday night

Multiple callers to Triple Zero (000) reported flames coming from the house on Belair Avenue just after 9:40pm.


Firefighters arrived on scene in six minutes to find the house well alight.

Fortunately, the sole occupant of the house had evacuated before crews arrived.


Firefighters worked to bring the blaze under control after 32 minutes.


Paramedics treated one person at the scene.


Firefighters are working to determine what started the fire.
