The MFB football team will be playing against Victoria Police members in a charity football match to raise money for RecLink.
The annual football match, now in its seventh year, will be especially fierce this year with the MFB football club determined to get even after last years defeat by Victoria Police.
WHEN: Sunday 5 July, commencing at 2 pm
WHERE: Bentleigh Football Club, Arthur Street, Bentleigh
WHY: MFB Leading Firefighter and event organiser Chris Smith said the charity event would be the grudge match to end all grudge matches.
“Normally, the MFB and Victoria Police work together as partners. However, we have always been great rivals on the football ground, so this match should be a great one,” he said
Entry to the match is a gold coin donation, with all proceeds going to the charity.
