MFB crews attend reported gas leak in Footscray

All occupants safely evacuated, no gas found

Just before 7.30am this morning MFB crews responded to a reported gas leak at a property in Hopkins Road, Footscray.

There were reports of people vomiting and affected by gas.

The occupants of the building safely evacuated and were treated on scene by Ambulance Victoria.

Atmospheric monitoring was carried out and completed and no gas was found.

Crews will be leaving the scene shortly.

Six appliances and twenty five firefighters attended the incident.
