MFB attends house fire in Paisley Street, Footscray

Six appliances and twenty firefighters tackle the blaze

Just before 10pm last night, MFB received a fire call to a house fire in Footscray.

Arriving on scene they found the two storey house fully involved in fire, and crews acted quickly to protect a nursing home and its residents adjacent to the fire.

The swift actions of firefighters brought the fire under control in thirty minutes but damage to the structure was extensive. 

The cause of the fire has been deemed suspicious.
