Chemical composition still being investigated

Just before 10am today, MFB received a call to a hazmat incident at the Sleepmaker Centre, Foleys Road, Deer Park.

A pipe had ruptured in the building, pouring liquid chemicals onto three workers.

These workers have since been decontaminated by MFB firefighters and the premises evacuated.

Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police are on scene and people are being asked to avoid the area.

MFB is investigating the composition of the chemical solution and will remain on scene for some time.
