MFB attends fire in Dakota Night Club, Ringwood

Community warning issued for smoke in the area

Just after 2.30am this morning, MFB received a fire call to the night club.

On arrival crews found the premises well alight with shops on both sides under threat.

MFB quickly tackled the blaze, and due to the swift actions of firefighters the fire was contained to the night club.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus searched the premises, which was found to be unoccupied.

A community warning was issued for smoke in the area.

Nine primary appliances, two aerial units,  a rescue unit and 45 firefighters attended the blaze, which was brought under control just before 4.30am.

The cause of the fire will be investigated.
