14 Nov 2011
Six MFB and six CFA career firefighters will swap jobs for up to two years in a new secondment program.

The scheme is a first for both services and is seen as an excellent example of the two agencies working even more closely together to protect the community.

Police and Emergency Services Minister Peter Ryan announced the program at a Rural Press Club of Victoria breakfast event this morning as part of Fire Awareness Week.
