House fire in Box Hill

Crews were called to a two-storey brick home in Irving Ave at 17:13pm this evening.

Firefighters arrived on scene to find the home heavily involved in fire and were initially unable to enter the building.

The blaze was brought under control within 35 minutes and crews in Breathing Apparatus were able to enter the house and declare it vacant.

The fire has been deemed suspicious and the cause is yet to be determined.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria also assisted on scene.

Power and gas company representatives also attended.
