House fire in Albion

MFB firefighters have made quick work of a fire which ripped through an Albion house this evening.

Crews were called to the residence on Sydney St about 8.40pm and arrived to find thick black smoke and flames issuing from the front of the building.

Firefighters worked quickly as the fire was threatening a neighbouring building.

The blaze was declared under control in around 20 minutes.

Luckily, no one was inside at the time.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
