Grass fire on Park Road covers one acre

MFB and CFA crews were called to a fire in the grasslands on Park Road, in Cheltenham about 10:32pm this evening.

Strong winds caused the fire to grow considerably, covering approximately one acre.

At the height of the blaze, 11 appliances were on scene tackling the fire.

The incident was brought under control after 54 minutes.

Victoria Police will investigate the incident.
