Fire investigators will probe the cause of a fire which broke out in Gladstone Park this evening.

Firefighters were called to the address in Braemar Close just after 6.30pm following reports of fire in the laundry and kitchen.

They arrived to find the occupant had evacuated safely.

Crews mounted an agressive attack both inside and outside the property and managed to gain the upper hand of the fire in just 8 minutes.

Fire investigators will attend at first light to investigate the cause of the incident.
