26 Nov 2019
In the early hours of this morning, MFB and CFA crews responded to a fire in the backyard of a Tullamarine home.

Crews were alerted to the fire by neighbours who called Triple Zero (000) just after 3:30am.

They arrived on scene within five minutes to find a garage on fire, which was attached to the house. Flames extended to the roof and were threatening the neighbouring property.

Four people evacuated while MFB and CFA firefighters worked to contain and extinguish the fire.

The incident was declared under control after 40 minutes. The cause is unknown at this stage.

Ambulance Victoria paramedics assessed a man on scene and Victoria Police provided assistance.
