MFB crews responded to a house fire in Footscray just after 1:30pm today following several Triple Zero (000) calls.
Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find plumes of smoke billowing from a house engulfed in flames on Gordon Street.
Wearing breathing apparatus for protection, firefighters worked quickly to stop the fire from spreading to an adjoining property. The incident has been declared under control.
No one was injured and Victoria Police is investigating the incident.
The community is advised to avoid the area while emergency services respond. A warning has been issued for smoke in the area.
