A car fire has caused significant damage to a property in Preston early this morning.
MFB firefighters received multiple Triple Zero (000) calls at 5:49am for a car fire threatening a unit in Benambra St. Upon arrival, crews found that the car had rolled into a single unit which caught fire and spread to the front room.

It took 20 minutes to bring the fire under control and the affected unit has sustained significant damage.
Two women were assessed at the scene by Ambulance Victoria.
