Fireys praised for saving home after Reservoir caravan fire

Firefighters have saved a Reservoir home after a caravan fire in their driveway overnight.

Crews were called to the Robins Avenue home at 8.24pm.

On arrival they found a caravan parked in the driveway ablaze and impinging on a single-storey brick home.

The elderly residents were alerted to the fire after seeing the flames and quickly evacuated. They were assessed by Ambulance Victoria at the scene.

Thermal imaging cameras were utilised to check on any spread to the eaves and house. 

The cause was determined to be electrical from within the caravan.

The homeowner has praised MFB firefighters for saving their home.
