Firefighters tackle suspicious Braybrook fire

MFB firefighters battled a suspicious grassfire in Braybrook last night.

Crews were called to Beachley Street at 11.40pm following multiple Triple Zero (000) calls reporting a fire spreading along the train line.

Crews arrived on scene within seven minutes and mounted an agressive attack on the blaze, which was 200 metres by 50 metres in size.

Firefighters managed to get the incident under control in around 40 minutes.

At this stage, the fire is being treated as suspicious and Victoria Police is investigating.
