Firefighters stop the spread of Glenroy house fire

MFB firefighters have limited the damage to surrounding homes after a fire took hold of a house in Glenroy on Friday night.

Initial crews arrived to the Isla Avenue residence within five minutes following a number of Triple Zero (000) calls.

Firefighters donned in breathing apparatus attacked the blaze externally before entering the property and gained the upper hand on the fire.

Their efforts brought the blaze under control in less than 10 minutes.

All occupants were accounted for and Paramedics treated one person at the scene.
