Approximately 15 firefighters responded to a crash in St Albans on Wednesday morning.

An occupant of a house on Sunshine Avenue called Triple Zero (000) just before 8:40am to report a car had crashed into a building.

Firefighters arrived on scene in seven minutes to find a car had gone through the front door and window.

Specialist MFB firefighters from the heavy rescue unit worked to reinforce the wall to stop it collapsing further and to remove the car from the house.

Fortunately, nobody in the house or the car was injured.
