Firefighters on standby at Moorabbin Airport

MFB Firefighters were called to Moorabbin Airport following reports of an aircraft in distress this morning.

Thankfully the plane managed to land and two occupants have evacuated safely.

MFB was notified at approximately 11:13am, with the first appliance arriving on scene just six minutes later.

Five MFB appliances and 25 firefighters were at the scene standing by along with our emergency service partner agencies including Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria, Country Fire Authority and Air Services Australia.
