Firefighters on scene at Monash Freeway crash

Just before 7:30am MFB crews were called to a multiple vehicle collision on the Monash Freeway, in Mount Waverley.

Firefighters arrived on scene to find a large number of vehicles had been involved in the collision.

The incident was declared under control just after 8:00am, however the Monash Freeway inbound remains closed at Forster Road while debris is being cleared.

Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria and VicRoads crews are also at the scene.

The public is advised to avoid the area where possible.
