19 Apr 2020
The quick work of firefighters has stopped the spread of a fire that broke out in a Mill Park shed.

A number of callers reported smoke and flames coming from a shed on Magenta Court just before 10:30am.

The shed was located at the rear of a house and was well alight when firefighters arrived on scene.

More than 20 firefighters were able to contain the blaze and brought it under control in less than 15 minutes.

Their efforts ensured the fire didn’t over take the home but there was some damage to part of the house and a nearby fence.

Firefighters determined there were suspicious circumstances surrounding the blaze and have handed the scene over to Victoria Police for further investigation.

CFA firefighters were also in attendance.
