Firefighters called to high pressure gas leak in Bulleen

Two MFB crews are currently on scene at a high pressure gas leak on Thompsons Road, in Bulleen.

There may be a strong smell of gas in the area, as the gas is leaking from underneath the road way.

Firefighters arrived on scene in less than 7 minutes, and are working to disperse the vapour cloud using a ground water monitor.

Two MFB crews are expected to remain on scene until the gas company arrives to isolate the leak.

Victoria Police are on scene assisting with traffic control, the community is advised to avoid the area if possible.
