Approximately 30 firefighters responded to a house fire in Beaumaris early on Friday morning.

A caller to Triple Zero (000) reported flames coming from the roof of the Beach Road house just before 7:30am.

MFB crews arrived on scene in six minutes and wearing breathing apparatus attacked the fire, bringing it under control within 20 minutes.

Fortunately all the occupants of the house had self-evacuated before crews arrived on scene.

Firefighters determined the cause of the blaze was electrical.
