While Melbourne slept, MFB firefighters have been hard at work battling a suspicious tyre fire in Tottenham

Firefighters were called to the factory on Holmwood Road shortly before midnight and arrived to find a two metre high pile of tyres in flames.
An excavator was used to pull the stack apart while water and foam was directed onto the blaze.
40 firefighters worked through the night and the fire was under control by 2am.
Fire Investigators will examine the scene this morning.
