Fire at Vietnamese Restaurant

A fire at the Little Saigon Pho Restaurant took some thirty minutes to bring under control earlier this morning.

Address: Victoria Street, Richmond

Two people were safely evacuated from the second storey residential area and no injuries were recorded.

MFB firefighters donned breathing apparatus to fight the fire as the building was heavily smoke logged.

The cause of the fire will be investigated in the morning but is believed to be of an electrical nature and not suspicious. The damage bill is expected to exceed two hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
