Fire at Carlton North bar.

Several calls were received for the fire at the Bar Nothing lounge in Pigdon St, Carlton North.

On arrival, firefighters were confronted with a fire at the single storey brick dwelling with flames coming out through a large section of the roof area.

Eight people were evacuated without injury from buildings at the side and rear of the premise by firefighting staff.

The premise including the contents has been severely damaged by fire.

It was bought under control in 40 minutes by approximately 22 firefighters.
