Fatal house fire in Braybrook

MFB firefighters are currently at a house fire in Braybrook.

Crews were called to the address in South Road just after 10.30pm after a caller to Triple Zero (000) reported seeing a large amount of smoke issuing from the home.

Firefighters entered the property to search for occupants and found the body of a man inside.

They were unable to revive him.

Crews contained the blaze to the rear of the house and got it under control in less than 15 minutes.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
