Factory fire in Mulgrave

MFB firefighters responded to an incident at a Mulgrave factory this morning.

Crews were called to the Lexia Place premises at 8:36am following an automatic alarm.
On arrival, firefighters located a fire in a plant room between the third and fourth floors.
One floor of the building with approximately 26 people was evacuated as a precautionary measure
Firefighters managed to get the fire under control in less than 90 minutes.
It’s believed the fire was sparked by demolition works within the building.
The incident has been resolved, all persons have returned to the premises and firefighters will be leaving the premises shortly.
