24 Feb 2019
MFB firefighters were alerted to a house fire in Forest Hill just before 2:30am this morning.

Initial crews arrived to the property on Andrews St in six minutes and found a single storey home well alight. The blaze was threatening nearby properties but crews were able to quickly isolate the fire and prevent it from spreading.

More than 20 firefighters worked to bring the fire under control in less than 30 minutes.

All residents safely evacuated before firefighters arrived and there were no reported injuries.

MFB fire investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the blaze.
