Early morning blaze in Croydon South

A two storey townhouse has been destroyed after a fire broke out in Croydon South this morning.

MFB firefighters were altered of the blaze on Faraday St at 7am following a number of Triple Zero (000) calls.

First crews arrived in less than five minutes and worked quickly to protect adjoining properties from the fire which had fully engulfed the home.

Three occupants were home at the time and safely evacuated prior to MFB arrival.

More than 20 firefighters brought the blaze under control 20 minutes.

The cause of the fire will be investigated by MFB’s specialist Fire Investigators.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria also assisted at the scene.
