Dallas house fire quickly under control

Firefighters quickly gained the upper hand of a fire which broke out in Dallas this afternoon.

Crews were called to the Calivil Street address just after 2pm and arrived to find the house in flames.

There were initial fears the occupant was missing, however, firefighters conducted a search and found that luckily no one was inside.

It took 28 firefighters just 20 minutes to get the blaze under control.

The building has been significantly damaged by fire and the contents of the property destroyed.

Victoria Police is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
